There are 2 long hill climbs in the tour, so we suggest using an electric bike to make the experience more enjoyable. Dive into nature just outside Como city by entering Lake Como natural park "Spina Verde" and cross the border with Switzerland by bike. My name is Mia and together with my husband Gianni we love showing our lake to our guests. The tour allows you to admire the beautiful coasts of Lake Como, the historic villas that overlook it as well as the wonderful views, in the hidden corners, which can only be seen from the lake. With our four-hour tour, you will arrive in Bellagio (La Perla del Lago) to observe it from the boat or go ashore to stroll through its characteristic alleys. We will then continue to Varenna, another jewel on the lake and then cross the lake until we reach Lenno and Isola Comacina, an ideal place to sip an aperitif or go for a swim thanks to the always calm water that surrounds the island. We will then sail towards Como along the western shore. We will offer you an excellent bottle of prosecco, some snacks and the soft drinks you desire. First, climb the Ghisallo, which doesn’t need any more presentation beyond its name, then, take on the terrible Muro di Sormano …"the WALL"! It’s a 1.8km climb with an average 18% gradient, and a max gradient of 25%. It’s the toughest bike path in the world! Look down at the road as you climb to keep an eye on the altitude, written every meter of the way on the asphalt. The Muro was ridden for 3 years in the Giro di Lombardia from 1960 to 1962, after which it was abandoned for 50 years because it was too hard…even for the pros! Since 2012 the Muro has been put back in the race. You can’t miss it! Give it a try! No putting a foot down!
