Napier: Shore Excursion Cycle Winery Tour – Half Day, self-guided
Explore Hawke’s Bay by bike – a fun, easy cycle ride to visit Hawke’s Bay leading wineries and choose a wine tasting or grab a bite to eat, before heading back to Takaro base in Ahuriri. We will shuttle you to and from the Napier I-site to our base (4km distance). Shuttle times to be determined depending on your ships arrival time - our van will be waiting approx. one hour after disembarkment. (Note: not all wineries are open everyday, please note winery opening days in information below) Your route is an easy self guided cycling route (from 20km/12 miles approx. 2 hours cycling but up to 40km/24 miles if you want!) along a dedicated cycle pathway beside the Pacific Ocean to trails through farmland and estuary where you will cycle through a birdlife sanctuary. Visit some of our world renowned wineries along the way (Crab Farm, Mission Estate, Church Road, Urban Winery), all within 7-13km away. NOTE you must book the wineries yourself, they will always be busy on cruise days!
